INFO
Working in leather all his life in his home in Ruhr District, Germany, Peter Schlingmann, the owner & a sole employee of Stark aus Leder, focused his craft toward leather trousers early on in his career & across decades of work, he developed a deeply unique, single base pattern which he claims to still to be perfecting & tweaking to this day.

I love leather trousers but wanting to avoid going through the same ordeal as with leather jackets, I went berserk with this obsession & just bought whichever pair I fancied, from cheap, mass produced junk to expensive designer pieces and not unlike with leather jackets, any benefits the latter had over the former was becoming vaguer the more pairs I handled.

Until I acquired these. I bought them as a pair and the moment I unboxed them, I just knew seeking further would have been a waste of time and that my grail leather trousers quest was over right there and then.

Peter's work is exclusively bespoke and I mean that in the true sense of the term. You get his trousers online. He insists on meeting you in person & getting to know you, to get an idea of who you are in order you to make a pair he knows you'll love. I met the guy. He was the only maker I wanted to meet and visiting his workshop was a fantastic experience (I also got to meet two wonderful members of this forum) &t it was then that he told me how he genuinely doesn't understand what is he supposed to do with a bunch of numbers people had began emailing him recently. He was referring to "measurements", of course.

Any case, I could go on but to cut this short(er), here I offer both my pairs for sale. Highly unlikely I'll be wearing leather pants again so perhaps it's time they find a new owner, someone who'll appreciate having some that actually is unique & special, for once.

First up, lace-up pants made from mid-to- heavy weight Bison leather. Approximate size is 34. All the standard features of Stark aus Leder workmanship such as doubled waist-band, triple stitch reinforced seams, hidden pocket and naturally, not a shred of any material other than leather, which is basically a trademark of Peter's work. Lining is bulls*it. I've been saying that for years.
Anyway, perfectly wearable, super comfortable yet indestructible pair of trousers that you can shape the way you prefer - Check out how densely packed the laces rivets are!

Condition is beautiful with just creases showing. Clean & taken care of.

They fit close, more than any other than I've seen by Peter and with the laces mostly let out, the approximate measurements are...
  • Waist width: 43 cm - 46 cm / 17" - 18"
  • Front rise: 31 cm / 12.2"
  • Inseam: 87 cm / 34"
  • Thigh width: 30 cm / 12"
  • Leg opening: 20 cm / 8"
  • Full length: 112 cm / 44"
You can get a bit more width outta them but it's near impossible to measure them accurately.

Second pair & my favorite of the two, a very clean, straightforward version of classic Stark aus Leder workmanship. These are made from super heavy, extremely sturdy & high-quality leather (Peter never cares of the origin of the leather, as long as it qualifies for his work). Thickened, double-layer waist-band with laces at the sides. 5 exterior leather lined pockets & two hidden, interior pockets (perfect for, say, a small bag of, I don't know, finely ground sugar for when the waiter forgets to bring you some with your coffee). Again, not a hint of any fabric anywhere near them - Everything made from either leather or metal.

While faultless, they've seen more wear than the first pair but the indestructible nature of the leather negates any consequences this matter of fact might have had upon them. Creases, is all to point out.

Due to being anatomically shaped throughout, the way they fit is beyond any definite characterization, other than looking perfect on a wearer, that is, and the approximate measurements are...
  • Waist width: 44 cm / 17.5"
  • Front rise: 32 cm / 12.5"
  • Inseam: 87 cm / 34"
  • Thigh width: 28 cm / 11"
  • Knee width: 22 cm / 8.5"
  • Leg opening: 20 cm / 8"
  • Full length: 113 cm / 44.5"
Please do note that it is not entirely easy to wear them. Once you get used to it, they'll feel like second skin but they are relentless at first.

That's that. If you have any questions whatsoever, immediately contact me and let's sort things out. Thank you!
