MINI REVIEW
I always had my doubts about the Comet as its ultimate simplicity made it seem all too good to be true. Well, I was wrong; Comet immediately became my all time favorite cafe racer & I'd rate as high as Vanson's Highwayman, even though it's a complete opposite of its over-engineered cross-zip cousin.

Zip it up & you might as well never take it off. The way it feels on you, the range of movement it gives you, despite the heavy-ass Comp. weight leather it is made of, is unparalleled.
Also, the jacket looks good! Sharp, athletic cut with square shoulders combined with short length make it look as cool as if you're wearing a Perfecto.

It's a good, good, good jacket. Simple, elegant but over-all, good jacket.

WHY SELL IT, THEN?
Moved on from moto styles (though I still like to try on new jackets!) plus its light cotton lining is purposeless in cold weather.

CONDITION
9.5/10. Perfect all over. Only faint creases. Good as it gets.

Size 42 Regular (not the Thurston Bros. abomination, thankfully) & the exact measurements are...

• Chest width (armpit to armpit): 59 cm / 23"
• Waist width: 49 cm / 19.2"
• Shoulders width (back): 51 cm / 20"

Can only agree about everything you wrote about Vanson’s Comet. Kinda weird feeling but I’m tempted to buy it although I already have a size 40 (which is the right size for me)… but this should go to someone who don’t already have a Comet.

Woke up to a good question that I feel needs to be addressed publicly - The Comp. weight leather this jacket is made of is the naked kind that Vanson used in the past, not the heavily coated kind they work with now. As you'd expect, this leather is very thick but it's also soft enough so that the jacket doesn't require a break-in period. It's not as shiny, too but more matte & it doesn't squeak.

I know what you mean - I always want to have two of the things I love. Comet is certainly that kinda jacket.

Comet is a great jacket too.

Best part is, I really do feel that way about it! I've sold a lot of stuff on eBay lately that I didn't even bother listing here but this really is a TFL-grade jacket in every way.
