This is not exactly the appropriate thread to post this magnificent Homburg, but I believe it is the right place
Sold in Swiss by Globus, it belong to the "German speaking" hats (Steve aka mayserwagener provided all the informations)

Made in mixed felt is very plasmable as few homburgs I get

Size 58 cm 7 1/4 US it has 6 cm (2.36 inches) curled brim and 11 cm. (4.33 inches) crown at low point

Well finished with a good sweatband and a white linen

The surprise arrives at the end: the hat seems made in France and the label has Italian language!
The label is the same as others French hats I have

Daniele, Thank you for posting. Actually this Homburg is Swiss German made so very appropriate. The company was Merz & Co. Menziken, Aargau. The company is listed in the Kelly's Directory, Volume 2, Europe 1964.

Globus was / is a men’s store in Switzerland ( now men’s and women’s).

I received a personal message on my website from the grandson (Jonathan) of Victor Böhm (passed away 1955) owner and chief inventor at Brüder Böhm Wien, Neutitschein / Novy Jicin. Jonathan kindly offered to let me post some photos of his fantastic / amazing BB collection. My sincere thanks to Jonathan!

Beautiful large print dating from the 1930s showing the Vienna and Neutitschein / Novy Jicin (two factories one for felt hoods and one for finished hats) factories.

Victor Böhm's hat manufacturing apprenticeship certificate (Lehrbrief), issued in 1910 by the Vienna Hatmakers Association (die Genossenschaft der Wiener Hutmacher).

Imperial prize certificate awarded to Brüder Böhm at the First International Hunting Exhibition, which was held in Vienna in 1910.

Henry Böhm's (Victor's son) compiled a booklet of the history of BB advertisements that appeared in the United States -- primarily in trade journals from the first half of the 20th century. Jonathan sent me a couple of the more interesting pages, including some of the BB logos.

Steve with your assertion you puzzle me completely.
I have some other hats, probably French made by Merz & Co. in Aargau.
I have to check and if so this is a sort of confirmation that in Europe the production of hats was supranational. It is a very interesting argument to develop.

Bohm's story and hats is unbelievable.
Steve you have the right to be the historian of German-Austrian hats

P. & C. Habig Wien "Special", size 59cm, probably late 1950s. This hat belonged to Joseph Böhm owner of Brüder Böhm.

P. & C. Habig Wien "Extra Qualität", 1980. This Silk Top Hat belongs to the grandson (Jonathan) of Victor Böhm.

In 1974 P. & C. Habig Wien purchased all the equipment and silk plush stock from the last manufacturer of Silk Top Hats Spoorenberg of Holland. It would be interesting to know what happened to this equipment and silk plush stock (assuming there was any left) when P. & C. Habig went out of business in the late 1980s.
