Ghost stories

I haven't seen any... some have their religious convictions toward what are the ghosts they have seen.

I can't say they don't exist as i haven't seen them before... What have you seen?

Lots of Queen Mary stories about little girls and wet feet are around, though I've been to the pool many many times and I see and hear nothing out of the ordinary.

I've slept in victorian houses and been to places where their are supposed to be hauntings though I have seen nothing.

Are you afraid of ghosts? Any ghost stories connected to all this vintage hunting we do?

I've never seen one myself, but I've long been of the opinion that the process is highly subjective. You can, I can't, etc.

And with all due apologies to anyone's religious beliefs, I personally think that intelligence, spirit, soul, whatever, continues after the body's end has been reached, and that those things ARE the person, not the shell. Why would conscious will not be able to hang about spooking the rest of us?

Concious will doesn't have to be a soul... it could just be electrical impulse. People push the idea of a soul though who really knows (I'm sure someone will pipe in saying they know they have a soul)?

It's like saying their is a god because... well just look around at all the beauty. Maybe the brain developed to percieve certain things as beauty and other things as not.

Anywho... I haven't seen any ghosts... I won't deny it if you say you have, though until I have I'll keep looking knowing that when i stop looking is when I'm supposed to see one.

Never saw a ghost, but I saw a werewolf.

When I lived in London I lived near a clapped out church called, I think, St Stephans. It was in the Hampstead/Belsize Park area. I used to see crucified birds in the windows. One day I was walking past, and there was a young woman at the door, knocking. I said, "I don't think there's anyone home". It turned out she was a reporter doing a story on a guy named Dave Firewolf who lived in the church and believed he was a werewolf. Eventually she gave up and we had a drink together. She never did interview Mr. Firewolf as far as I know. I saw him walking his dogs a lot in the neighbourhood. He was a seriously furry dude with tattooes on his face and all the usual accoutrements of your typical friendly neighbourhood werewolf - you know, bird skull necklaces and bone bracelets, etc. On full moon days and nights howling and screaming could be heard in the deserted church.

I believe in ghosts to the same degree that I believe Dave Firewolf was lycanthropic.

I don't believe in ghosts, so obviously, I'm not afraid of them. Actually, ever since a kid, whenever someone said that a spooky looking house was haunted or something horrible happened in there, while everyone else wouldn't dare put a toe in the front yard, I would be checking out the whole inside of the house, who knows, insatiable curiosity?
The town just north of me (Vancouver) has some so-called haunted houses. There have been acounts of people hearing footsteps at night in the halls, toilets flushing, there was even an article of a lady who owned one of these houses who said that every morning when she woke up all her area rugs would be rolled up and stacked neatly in a corner, so she would lay them all out again, then the same thing would happen the next morning
