I happened to see an early forties tearjerker with him in it the other evenng and he looked pretty good and just as important sounded good.....another actor of a similar flavor but next generation..... James Mason who appeared a total farrago with Ava Gardener (someone's avatar) where both of them looked fantastic and in Mason's case sounded fantastic too
