Hat Blocking ?

Hi,

I have a classic Fedora sold by Ralph Lauren that was crushed up in my last house move. Is there any business in or around Philadelphia that can reshape/ reblock the hat to a wearable state ?

Tell Oscar you are a Fedora Lounger too. We've visited his establishment a few times and looked over hats and hung around. They are a lot of fun and nice guys to boot.

I talked with Oscar a while back about replacing a sweatband & he said he didn't have anybody to do that work currently. Wonder if he found somebody since? [huh]

We'll see Oscar in about a week and a half and I'll ask him. I think the answer will most likely still be "no". They are a retail hat store with a nice inventory of varied hat styles, and primarily perform cleaning/steaming/shaping for their clientele. Probably Oscar would say "Someone has to do it!"

Oscar is a great guy and the shop is fun, especially if you can get 6-8 guys with fedoras on all up in there! But, sadly, he's not a "hatter" in the same sense as our compatriots at VS, Optimo, Buckaroo, Tumwater, et al.

Thanks for the info & welcome aboard. I take my hat off to you for the quick response.
Please give me some more info on the 16th (time, etc) & I will try & make it.
I spent over 12 years working in a Hospital (Now closed) in Hamminton South Jersy.
