As a new member, here's the second of my contributions to the forum.

This shop is in Hamlet Court Road near Southend on Sea, Es*** (S.E. England).

I've been there many times, the hats he has in stock are amazing and I own at least 4 that I've bought from him at reasonable prices.
If he doesn't stock it, he'll probably get it made somewhere for you.

My uncle had him make a suit from a Tweed that he had to seek royal permission to use (or something like that according to my uncle).

I forget the owners name now but he knows his stuff and if very helpful:

Hey, they have a nice looking Whippet-like hat in the fedora section, there.

He's got some great stuff mate, a tiny shop, last time I had a chat with him he told me he does most of his business online these days.

From memory, I think he told me there are something like 12 different types of Pith Helmet that were ever made.
As I said, he knows his stuff.
He stocks a couple of Pith Helmets, like Michael Cain in "Zulu", I think you;d need to be pretty excentric to wear one though.

I own several Bakers boy/ Newboy hats.

The link above is just for Hats, check out his caps too:

His Bakers Boy hat aren't cheap but he has them made and they are of fantastic quality compared to cheaper versions I've bought elsewhere:

Thanks for sharing. The Akubras are outback style or western and no fedoras. A few open crowns would round out the selection. And an exclusive Johnny D. I wonder who that could be named after? :)

I've been aware of this site for quite some time, but never actually bought from him. I've also hard good recommendations from Danny of Milkcow magazine. Always good to hear from more satisfied customers when contemplating a purchase. I may well treat myself to some hats in due course. I have my eye on that Johnny D, and a grey plush, and a grey porkpie......
