This is just my opinion, but the hat box that came with my Hornskov Narrator seems to come very close to the ideal hat box for any gentleman who wants to keep their chapeau in top-notch condition.

The box itself is robust, attractive, and comes with a ribbon that serves both as a carry handle, and as a method of securing the lid in place. The inner cardboard ring supports the hat ideally, on the top of the brim.

The only thing I might add is a block of regularly sanded cedar wood in the bottom of the centre ring as a means of discouraging moths. Leave the lid off for 24-48 hours after wearing to let the hat dry. And brush the hat as required o keep the nap of the felt looking good. The only downside? If you have a dozen or more such quality hats, storage space might become an issue.

If anyone knows of a superior hat box, I'd be happy to discuss. Best wishes all.
