A german generic flat hat box that came with my opera hat

Tonak / Janyška & Cie from right after WWII. This is an example of a bulk shipping container that was common in Europe going back to late 19th Century. Janyška & Cie is using the nationalized name Tonak.

Steve, again, your hat and hat stuff need public display. I see the pic of the magnificent box and my eye is then drawn to the stack of elegant hat boxes, vtg. packing remnants, crown stands, and shadows of hats carefully displayed around. I marvel when you show photos. I do not respond to all of your posts, but rest assured I look very carefully at your contributions sir.

O.F. Hess Hussinetz / Husinec Bohemia pre WWII. This is the older hat container from the Czech find.

Found some more boxes.The Stetson box was very dirty.Also pretty beat up.I tried to wipe it clean with a damp sponge but the paper was rubbing off.So I decided to give it a naptha bath.It cleaned the dirt off pretty good.The box showed no ill effects from the bath.

We are all familiar with that novel triangle-shaped Stetson Three-Way box. But this is the first time I've seen a Stetson box with "Three-Way" on it that looked like this....
