To think that it was all razed in the 1950s, nothing but the servant quarters, the pool and tennis courts were left. So what we are seeing in the article is only the servant quarters.[huh] (I'm not complaining tho.)


This is a postcard of the house how it was in the late 20s or early 30s. That little construction on the left I guess is the servants quartes.

Here in the Swan River Colony we have a similar building Overton Lodge, the former home of eccentric entrepreneur, Claude de Bernales. This imposing building is now the Cottesloe Civic Centre. He also built London court here in town
