To me it reads as a bit of a puff piece featuring the usual suspects he already knows. I wish the reporter would do more research and dig deeper.

I quite agree - though to some extent we only have ourselves to blame; in an age when few are prepared to pay for decent journalism, we can't be surprised when advertorials take over.

There was a time (not long ago) when Conde Nast refused to accept discounts on hotels, etc so they wouldn’t seem beholding to anyone in their reporting/reviews...that all changed when the CFO took over the chair.

Also, $1050 - or any amount over $120 - for a jacket made from split leather is insulting, and I'm saying that as a huge fan of Iron Heart.
