I have just had the great pleasure to re-view Heimat I. (My sons x-mas gift to me.)
As always - when you see a movie many years after you first saw it - you wonder if it still works. Does it hold?
I must say that Edgar Reitz did a pretty good job back there in the early 80's.
The characters and the whole story of Germany from 1919 to 1960's still sneaks up on you. Amazing:eusa_clap :eusa_clap
If you have not allready seen this fantastic piece of (historical) drama - do it. Or see it again. I can only recommend it.
