The Hollyvogue name was first registered in 1926.

To start, one of their whipstitched western-themed "Stirrup" ties.

Here's a 1940s green silk "upside down flowers" number from Weinstock, Lubin & Co.

I'm afraid I don't have any historical knowledge to contribute, but I can tell you it's a very nice tie.

I absolutely love this tie! What a bold, elegant design! Man, they don't make ties like that anymore.

And notice the price. $3.50 for a tie back then was not exactly cheap when you could get one from Haband for about a buck.

This is probably one of the earliest labels I have seen for a Hollyvogue tie. The labels at the beginning were not fancy---just a tag cut at the bottom with pinking shears.

Exactly. And the dollar tie lasted well into the 20th century (even today you can get ties at the dollar store).
