I bought this jacket new a few years ago from Territory Ahead. It was described in their catalogue as horse hide, not FQHH, just horse hide. None of the tags indicate that it is horsehide, however I have no reason not to believe Territory Ahead's representation about it being horse hide.
When the jacket arrived I swapped out the standard plastic buttons and had silver buttons installed. They look a lot better on this jacket.

Light horse hide, soft, broken in, three silver buttons, three external pockets, three internal pockets one of which is zippered, all seams triple stitched
