This Steson Premier Panama Fedora needs cleaning. Notice the spotting on the hat. Is it possible to remove the spots with mild soap and water. Or would it be more practical just to send it to a professional like Optimo for cleaning. I tried the search option but didn't really find anything. Also, can anybody date this hat? Or type of weave? Appreciate any help. Thanks!

I'll be curious to hear what others say about your hat. I have one that looks almost identical, but is an unreeded Knox - it has a $5 price tag in the band.

I wouldn't risk cleaning it yourself, it's a great hat. Send it off to Optimo and have it professionally cleaned.

Razzman, I will not try and help you with your cleaning quandary but I sure do dig that hat :cool2:.

Now, I don't know what the hat is worth to you in either sentimental or monetary value but is there a chance that the hat doesn't need cleaning? Could it fit into your line up as a beater, or a work hat, or a muck-a-rounder, or whatever you want to call it?
