How to UN-snap a brim...?

Is it possible? Surely there's some way to 'relax' the snap action? My new Fed Dlx is a snapping fool. I have worked the front of the brim down, and its pretty floppy from the soaking and rolling I've given it. -But basically its snapped in the down position, which is ok. The rear, however, is giving me fits. :rage: I want to get the very edge of it to turn up, but right now the whole brim wants to shoot straight up at about a 60 degree angle from the crown- violently! I bet you could launch ships into orbit by propelling them off the brim! ...3,...2....1...SNAP!! And we have liftoff!
Expert advice here anyone? I thought about ironing the brim flat...would that work?

spray some distilled water on it and shape it how ya want.

You may not need to soak it just use a spray bottle and work with it gradually.

The hat is new. Wear it for a while and let nature take it's course.
It will get softer with wear and handling.
