I missed you guys...and gals

I've been gone for a whole week (went to the beach with the family) and realized, a week is way too long to be without you guys!!!!
Just so this does not happen to me again...what's out there that I can still get in here but not need anything to 'hook up'? (as you can tell, I know NOTHING about technology ) Anyways, good to be back

Ya need ta go wireless,....

...like with a lap top computer. You'll need a wifi signal of course, to get hooked up. But most hotels will have that so it's no problem to stay connected to the internet.

It must be my lap tops too old..cause it still needs a phone line to hook up unfortunately, I was at a beach house

...ya just need to install a wireless card. I think they are available on ebay. [huh]

I know they are for desktop PC's. About $25 I think and it comes with an antenna.

I've turned into a real slave to the internet revolution.

It's ironic because I was one of those who said ten years ago, "Internet- huh, I don't need no stinking internet!"

Now, I'm always surfing here and there like a virtual junkie. A laptop with wireless is the BEST. My wife gave me the laptop I'm using now last year for Valentine's Day. How cool is that?! Not exactly a classically romantic gift, but one I definitely use and appreciate. I had never used a laptop before and now I wouldn't be without it. My favorite surfing spot is on the couch with my cup of joe beside me.
With wifi being so common nowadays, I travel with the computer, happy as a clam. I never thought I would be a computer lover...

lol Sounds like me. I went 180 degrees from that standpoint to building my own PC last year! I'm glad I did because I've made many great friends from all over the world and I've expanded my horizons so much. I think now is the best time to get connected anyway, the technology has grown so much faster these days than it was 10 years ago. Web surfing was pitifully s_l_o_w back then.

I had to leave the lounge for a week, also. I decided that surviving graduation was a little more important, but I sure did miss everyone. It was hard when I had my laptop right there beside me and couldn't let myself turn it on... what torture!
