John Lofgren Monkey Boots Shinki Horsebuttt - $1,136 The classic monkey boot silhouette in an incredibly rich Shinki russet horse leather.
Grant Stone Diesel Boot Dark Olive Chromexcel - $395 Goodyear welted, Horween Chromexcel, classic good looks.
Schott 568 Vandals Jacket - $1,250 The classic Perfecto motorcycle jacket, in a very special limited-edition Schott double rider style. Do you have a fit pic of your custom del-66? I bought the stock size and I'm wondering if I should have just asked Alan for a MTO jacket.Yeah I guess depends on what they consider a 'custom' pattern and what are considered modifications...which is totally up to them, why its hard not to get a little cagey about price. My 'custom' DEL-66 will be a couple hundred bucks cheaper than a similarly spec'd 1930's Half Belt.
Have a weird anxiety that someone will quote me out of context, saying so and so said you did x jacket for x price.
either way as mentioned - have found their pricing very fair, cool that they do so many 1 of 1 jackets
I know u didn’t ask me but I happen to have an Mto del 66 in rough out I’m not sure how a stock would fit but I’m sure not far of this a size 42 then cut to my specsDo you have a fit pic of your custom del-66? @X83 has had way more experience with JL than I - so would be much better at fielding what ever follow up question you have. This is my only custom jacket.Do you have a fit pic of your custom del-66? I bought the stock size and I'm wondering if I should have just asked Alan for a MTO jacket.
Spectacular jacket and if anyone is is looking for Mto jacket they can just make a canvas for you and you take picture of it once it comes in from there the make minor adjustments it works well because after that they can nail just about any jacket for you@X83 has had way more experience with JL than I - so would be much better at fielding what ever follow up question you have. But since you asked - this is a del-66 / Barneveld remix 'mash up' with a spread collar and a pleated back. I have a shorter torso with longer arms, and once I started down the custom rabbit hole I made the other mods. Leather is Pitch Blue City Horween Es*** Steerhide - still on the archive page on their site. But like I said I didn't really ask for like an itemized 'custom' breakdown - but they were super easy to chat to. They even made a muslin mock up first and sent that out.
I have one jacket from them and am waiting on a second jacket which will be ready within the next few weeks. What I was super impressed with is that the measurements I requested on the first jacket were pretty exact. Usually when I have ordered from another maker there are tolerances and the sizing was off a litttle bit. I am really hoping they nail the sizing on my second jacket like they did on the first one.Spectacular jacket and if anyone is is looking for Mto jacket they can just make a canvas for you and you take picture of it once it comes in from there the make minor adjustments it works well because after that they can nail just about any jacket for you
I’m sure it will be amazing I’ve noticed with Jl jackets that pattern is so good that I have full range of motion in every jacketI have one jacket from them and am waiting on a second jacket which will be ready within the next few weeks. I think the fit is good for both. Now, I am a Johnson-phile and I like the way they "interpret" measurements. There's always room for comfort. I'd say keep the jacket, it looks good and good on you.@X83 amazing piece, especially with the brown chinos. looks great on you!
@STPmotor looks amazing on you too.
I've got my del-66 here, and also a custom Aero Premier Highwayman. I have a nagging feeling that the del-66 (in black) looks a bit big on me and I'm thinking about selling it. On the other hand, the Highwayman is a custom job from Aero (through Thurston) and the sleeves/length is custom to my measurements. However, like @X83 says, the range of motion/mobility on Johnson is just so much better lol. Aero feels quite restrictive, especially moving my arms up. What do you all think about the fit on both?
Keep the Johnson, sell the Aero. This is a HB style, it is meant to fit comfortably and not skin-tight. It is a good fit and evidently it feels good too and that's what matters most.@X83 amazing piece, especially with the brown chinos. looks great on you!
