I have a kangaroo cafe racer from Johnson Leathers. It is lighter than goat, with an interesting grain. There is a thread dedicated to it for more info.

Interesting. I never expected kangaroo to be used for jackets. I have seen shoes by Florsheim though. They made one (at least) of their Royal Imperial line out of it. The leather was quite supple, but also very thin, as in almost paper thin and the shoes would break within minutes of wearing them. I imagine the hides are split like those of other jacket producing animals? Or perhaps different parts of the roos yield different types of leather?
