Oh my, now that's a sharp hat. I wish it were my size.

I've always had difficulty getting a tape to lay right to get an accurate measurement, but now that I have a stretcher I've figured out I can get a very accurate measurement by expanding the stretcher out until it fits just snug, then measuring the stretcher. Using that method I've measured this hat at 22 1/2" which is just shy of 7 1/4.

I could easily stretch it to a true 7 1/4, or possibly as far out as 7 3/8 with the stretcher and a little steam if someone wants.
