I just stumbled on this website. I watched this show religiously for years. It's just as fresh today as it was 60 years ago, which is amazing. The formula was deceptively simple. Two handpuppets (along with a whole world of supporting characters) plus a girl. Fran Allison was an accomplished radio actress from the midwest, which you can hear in her speech. Burr Tillstrom, the genius behind the whole thing, started out in televison way back in 1933, when he did a little puppet show at the Chicago World's Fair for a very early TV demo. He was all of 16 years old. Scroll down for a number of original episodes.
