Ladies' Hats

My girlfriend would like to buy a flapper hat. She's looking for something with an upturned brim in black, blue, brown, or gray, for around $50. Any suggestions?

Try searching "vintage hat" on eBay. Then narrow it down to women's apparrel. There are many, many that might do.

Thanks, billysmom- we've tried that but haven't really found the right thing. I was hoping the ladies of The Lounge might point us to a modern haberdasher who does classic designs.

We were at a street fair in Brooklyn last week and saw several small independent hat makers with ladies' hats, but none had the right one. I know there must be more out there, but we're having trouble finding them.

Cloche Hats

Hi Spellflower-

I'm presuming the sort of hat your girlfriend wants when she says "Flapper" hat is a cloche, a day hat, not an evening one? Here are a few links to places with wool (or wool blend) cloche hats which might have what your girlfriend is looking for; in any case, I hope this helps a bit. You also might have better luck with opening up this question in The Powder Room, as, some of our members might even have cloches in their Etsy shops.
