The canvas is intended to be waxed or oiled, but I bought this untreated, as I prefer my own wax. Once waxed, the patina is instant as every arm bend changes shade. If you had Scottish oil cloth or another waxed canvas jacket, you know.
It’s basically unused as I never waxed or wore it as it is too snug for me. I’m a 42” or Large in a tailored fit Filson, and this is snug on me.
