Looking for hat bands...

Good thing I haven't broken down to get my hat luvin' 7 yr. old a custom yet... we've recently had some run-ins w/ our hats and the dog :^). FORTUNATELY nothing I can't fix.

Anyways, does anyone know of an online site that sells reasonable hat bands/ ribbons? I saw some on e-bay, but much more western than I want. Actually looking for thin hat ribbon and possibly a customized leather-tooled with his name, bells& whistles type for his birthday. Any suggestions?

For an Indy type ribbon you can get some from Toddscostumes.com, or I believe there is JKM ribbon?

I would try the ribbon from todd's (it's a little wider than I was thinking), but just can't pay $10 to ship a $2 ribbon out of principle :^).

Thank you JT, Tango Yankee and Kabuto. I was wondering where to get replacement rayon/cotton ribbon, and now I know!

So Icot, if you do start a hat band, can I join? I'll play the flute, or the guitar. And wear a hat of course.

Woodfluter, I know hair bands were all the rage, but I'm not thinking that the hat bands would take off quite in the same manner!

You guys should band together for a big group ribbon purchase, since Schiff only sells the ribbons in 50-yard rolls for most of the colors.

... Or maybe this is an eBay opportunity ... get a couple of dozen colors and sell two or three yards each in a variety pack.

Hey, there's a thought. Or possibly sell them here. But...good grief, 50 yards?! Enough to do something close to 40 or 50 hats? I think maybe I'd try to hunt down a smaller source unless I want to start a ribbon distributor business on eBay.
