Lost Battalions closing down

Lost Battalions, vendors of high-quality repro WW2 uniforms, is closing down in December.

Bad news for those of us who've been considering the benefits of good quality repro gear at relatively reasonably prices from US vendors.

I've a feeling they won't be the last...

Given what I've picked up on various threads recently, I'm wondering whether people will stop re-enacting altogether if they can't buy goods made in their own countries.

Shame-

Most of the US based suppliers sell imported gear and have done so for a long time- even the ones who USED to say, "...proudly made in the...".

I severely doubt it.

In many countries outside of the US and UK reenactors rely on purchasing items of kit from overseas vendors anyway.

Sorry to hear they are calling it stumps though.

They are very near where I live. I'm going to call them tomorrow. I may drive over as they have a repro jacket that I have been considering.
