Must have been warm that day. Lots of rolled up sleeves too, and mix of straw and felt.

1938 ... warm climate ... maybe the ones with hats are the only ones left who haven't been foreclosed on ... they still own their hats!

It is a great look back, though

I remember when gentlemen still worse dress straws, shirt and ties, to church on Sunday and the only air conditioning in church or car was the funeral home fans ... cardboard fan on a paint stick handle ... or the windows down on the way home

Interesting also is that, contrary to common stereotype, is is a racially mixed audience for a concert in Louisiana in 1938.
