Look at that face! She's gorgeous!
German Shepherd Dogs are one of the few breeds that exhibit secondary sexual characteristics. In well bred examples, the females look like females and the males look like males. I can't tell you what the differences are, but after many years of experience you know it when you see it.
This i have found to be true as well.
We had a bird get trapped in our kitchen once. After about an hour of trying to chase the bird out, coax it out, entice it out, and various other failed attempts, I turned off the kitchen light, turned on the porch light, and opened the door. Bird was out in under 30 sec.
It helped it was after dark.
I looked too and didn’t see a damned thing.
That’s a great picture!
White dog and red mud.
Using the broadest definition of pet... raised from eggs and now being released - Cope's Gray Tree Frogs. This is the second batch set free. I'm so proud of my almost 3 y.o. - she's making memories for both of us.
Chilly morning ...
A breeders pic I like
As my Afghan breeding parents used to say - if in doubt, lift the tail...
Yep, being over 6 feet tall, it can be difficult to work out the him or her part of dogs. It was especially bad because two of my neighbors have black and white Great Danes. One is officially a "therapy dog" for a Med Student, and the other is a rescue from a place that raised them for dog fights. The intended dog fighter was too little to train and seems to be getting along well. Of course I've never even SEEN a Dane with that color combo so I ASSUMED that the two were dating and had A dog. They've never met...
Still resting after a full day in the canoe on the river yesterday. I cooked a shore lunch of fresh bluegill (they're plentiful). Beautiful fall day!
What do you think about being at the vet today?
Sort of reminds me of that old joke, "I'm here to get my nails done," if Izzy was a bigger dog.
