anyone else with tiny feet?!

I have a real problem finding shoes in my size - any shoes, not to mention VI or any cute styles. I'm a small size 3 (that's Irish/UK sizing) - about a 5 U.S. I think, sometimes smaller depending on the shoe. Any suggestions?

Hey Miss,
I have been shopping on eBay for a few years but I've never seen any shoes small enough. But thanks for the advice - I will keep looking!

I have the same size feet but beware - many vintage shoes are very narrow. I have small wide feet - lovely! [huh] they don't fit most vintage shoes.

I'm surprised you have trouble as most vintage shoes I come across are tiny! I always pick up gorgeous shoes from the 30s, 40s and 50s at vintage fairs and wish that I had smaller feet as they are mostly in very small sizes.

I wanted to share these shoes in case any uk ladies, like myself, don't enjoy wearing high heels for long periods of time. My boyfriend bought me them from shoefayre - a discount shoe shop - only £12! and I think they are passably vintage looking and very comfortable

I resized them but they still came out giant, don't know why!

Shoes...love shoes...but I have a question.

I love the shoes from the 40's...and I can't emphasize LOVE enough. :)

But here is my question...
Did they wear low heels? I'm not a thin woman and wearing heels all day just kills me. I have searched high and low and to date haven't found anything showing a lower heel. I've been wearing my own flats, but it just doesn't look or feel right.

Happy Holidays!

I have a number of pairs of 40's day shoes with a low heel. I have only a couple pics showing one of my favorite pairs - sadly, they are close to death after years of hard use, and the recent addition of swing dancing to my life. Here's a rather-too-posed picture in them. When they were still in decent condition.

Shoes of this style just aren't easy to find. They got plenty of hard use - much less than 4" suede platforms, you know, because those only came out in the evenings, while your staunch low-heeled days shoes were the work-horse of ladies' footwear.

I did read , unfortunately forgot where , that very high heels were around a lot earlier than the 50's but confined to a more specialist industry, I also think heel height in war time came under clothing regulations which possibly meant they would have increaased earlier without WW2.

Another Option

I did see loafers while browsing my 40s Sears Catalog (I suspect we have the same one Jitterbugdoll!) It's a valuable resource spanning the decade.

I have bad knees so heels for me get a max of four hours' wear. I am going to invest in some loafers soon for my day dress wear. I still want the peep toe wedges on Remix shoe's site. *le sigh*

I just saw on the Keds site that they have resurrected some 50s style wedges, but some might think them too rockabilly! Espcially the gingham/fruit ones. But I think they are super cute and look very comfy.

Those keds are cute. I wish they had done some plain colors instead of all prints. Has anyone seen anything like those in plain colors? For a resonable price of course.

some of them look super-vintage-playshoe-esque. they're made by keds. i've never worn a pair, but the ones i've seen in person look SUPER comfortable.

They do have some nice shoes. I love the Ella Pratice shoe in red.

I have been looking for a pair of keds that I saw Micha Barton wearing but I can;t find them on their website. They were peeptoe wedges that tied. Really cute and comfy looking.
