Mala Powers, star of 'Outrage', passes

Saw this obituary yesterday and I looked up more about her, since I didn't recognize her name. I changed my avatar to her picture. She was pretty, wasn't she? Now, in looking up my library borrowing record just now I see that a random film noir VHS I took out weeks ago is requested by another borrower so I'd better watch it and return it. It is 'City That Never Sleeps', starring Mala Powers. Coincidence. Never hear of something and then you see it everywhere.
Going to watch a movie.

I watched 'Outrage' the other evening.
She was quite wonderful in it. Ida had
chosen her for this role...she was 18 years old
at the time and of course the subject matter
was controversial because it was based on Mala's
character having been raped.

She was really great in it. Thanks for posting this.
I hadn't heard that she had passed!
