Mid-Level Dress Shirts

Does anyone have any tips for buying middle-level dress shirts for those who cannot afford custom tailored or the higher-priced brands? Something along the lines of Tommy Hilfiger, WH Belk, and all of those kind of mid-priced shirts--where to get them, what to avoid, what to look for, etc. Also, any sort of sales on shirts in online stores could be posted here.

I was thinking that this could be a sort of reference thread for those who want to avoid the poly blends but still want to get a decent shirt without breaking the bank.

Have you thought about Lands' End? I have been wearing their Pinpoint Oxfords for years. They are well made, durable and come in exact sleeve lengths. They also offer a trim fit (which I could not possibly use).
