John and Yoko week..

John Lennon and Yoko Ono co-hosted for a week back in the '70's. I watched every one of the shows back then. John Lennon met Chuck Berry for the first time on the MDS and played with him as he's always dreamed he would. That was great television!

So did I, Mike Douglas was a class guy, nice singer to boot, when John & Yoko co-hosted with Douglas, Mike Douglas let John pick the guests during the week, like Jerry Rubin, and almost came to blows (due to political opinions) before John joined in to cool things, have a laugh.
I enjoyed the MDS Lennon and Berry playing "Johnny B-Good", for reals it was a great show, Mike Douglas we'll miss you, R.I.P. :(

Awwww.
I recall being a kid & watching it after school all the time.
Do I sound like RosieODonnell? Should I start singing commercial jingles?

Yes, a lot has been made out of John&Yoko cohosting for a week. Wasnt that where JohnLennon first met ChuckBerry?

I think so (John & Berry) these days Berry is quite crazy, but I think its his age, he fancys "cash" for what ever. I watched the show after school as well.
Best John Lennon (guest) was on The Dick Cavett Show, his wit, humor really was great (once yougot Yoko away, shut up) lol
Mike Douglas was a great guy, really for older folks, big bands, but he tried to mix it up for the younger set and as said, he always wanted to sing with Lennon.
He had a great sense of humor himself, nice gentleman.

He always came across as simply a nice guy. I love the clips on that website -- too bad they're not longer.

Although I imagine there are some on YouTube.com by now.
