It is indeed a great town. We love it.
My much better half is a UGA grad and of course UGA, the dog and UGA the school, are part of her DNA. She had the misfortune of marrying a transplanted Yankee who likes yet gets confused by the SEC and follows his beloved St. Louis Cardinals. (See me with Stan Musial in my avatar).

We, however, are not with the Seilor family which has provided UGAs these past many years. Great dogs.

Ours is Chugg. He chugs like a train and I believe, does the same with beer.

    Great looking hat.
But that Chugg can really mug!!
Maybe we can see him in the Lounger’s pets thread too.

Nice, almost mint, vintage Medalist. Too small for me so it’s now looking for a home in the classifieds.

The guy definitely had style and a good eye for hats. Not all of them are knockouts like these first two that I posted. I figured start with a bang, pull back a bit, and then crescendo for a big finish. :)

  7. This Bee Hats Bee Cool hemp Milan just arrived. Not a daily driver, but I’ve been looking for a hat like this for several years.

  9. Stratton The Lawman Genuine Milan: This is my fourth of this type of hat. These are darn near indestructible and very stiff. They make great hard-use summer hats as they breathe very well.

Just picked up this vintage Champ Milan Straw stingy off eBay. Thinking it’s from the late 50s or early 60s. Curious if it is real straw vs synthetic. I am thinking it may be real straw as it states Champ Milan Imported on the sweat band. Wasn’t necessarily looking for a stingy straw, but got it for a decent B4094865-8E42-4797-AB0F-7901175331B4.jpeg 166EA560-0E41-4E3B-B65B-E036C3E86497.jpeg 7E0EA7A9-52A1-413A-929D-4A1E47BEC218.jpeg

  12. Nice! Definitely natural “straw” of some type, and maybe even genuine wheat straw.

Since the brim is only 2 1/2 inches wide I might lower the crown a bit to keep it proportional.

I picked this Leone Cappelli Milan off ebay a couple years ago. The sweat band was shot and some of the threads were broken at the front brim-break so I had Mike Miller fix it up for me. A real nice vintage Milan with some toasty brown color to it.

Picked up this beautiful hat from fellow Lounger Reverbdave.
It’s a Dobbs Steel Gray Milan which we believe is from 50s-60s and is in excellent condition.
Even Chugg the Super Dog of Lounge fame appreciates its fine weave.
All the best from The Hostess City.
