Movies With Classic Style

Which five films do you think have the most "classic Style"?

The purest clothing classicist for me was Hitchcock. I read that he never allowed his leading men to wear anything but a solid silk tie. No patterns, no stripes. I remember that article from Esquire, and have solid ties for my "leading man" kind of days!!

Here's my "top 5":

To Catch a Thief
The Great Gatsby
Rear Window
Wall Street
The Thomas Crown Affair

Man On The Moon. Great tribute to an amusing performer. If Andy Kaufman had seen the film, I believe he would have enjoyed it. A properly made film about a real life individual or event is difficult to make.

It doesn't seem like this thread is going anywhere!
I'm adding 5 more films to the list.

Top Hat- "The elegant Ginger Rogers and the dapper Fred Astaire, enough said!"
Blow Up- "The fashions, the decor, and the attitude are all pure '60s style."
Vertigo- "Kim Novak's fashions, and James Stewart's apartment"
Bullitt- "Steve McQueen's clothing, and those awesome cars"
Le Samourai- "The bar Martey's, the bad guys' hangout! and Alain Delon's threads."
Top Hat- "The elegant Ginger Rogers and the dapper Fred Astaire"

I saw a movie last weekend called The Ranger, the Cook and the Hole in the Sky. It was set about 1919 in Montana or Idaho. More of an adventurer's wardrobe than that of a man about town.
