Multiple Hat terms

We talk so often about hats (plural) as collectors and makers; it struck me a few months back that there should be terms for more than two of a particular type of hat.

You've herd (bad pun, but I'm using it and you can't unsee it!) of a covey of quail or a murder of crows or a pride of lions... well, I have taken to calling a group of fedoras a 'massacre'

I played around with the term 'riot' for a group of porkpies as well, but other types have so far proven elusive. I ain't too happy with anything I've thought of for homburgs, bowlers, stingies, etc.

What do you propose?

An extra of newsboys. A Sherlock of deerstalkers. A malnutrition of stingies. A junkyard of stovepipes. A tomb of indies.

From Spatterdash's earlier thread, I came up with these:

A council of homburgs or a mob of homburgs
A fleet of boaters or a regatta of boaters

Oh, and I second the 'league of bowlers', that's great!

And from the animal world, my favorites are 'a charm of finches' and 'a murmuration of starlings'.

Yes, that's the fact of it, but not the underlying truth.

I think 'a compulsion of hats' or 'an obsession of hats' is more to the point, eh?

Fedoras = A Massacre.
Porkpies = A Riot
Bowlers = A Team or League (I like league, fun puns) A Donnybrook, A Strand (both mine)
Newsboys = An Extra
Deerstalkers = A Sherlock
Stingies = A Malnutrition, a Scots, a Miser, a Picking (last two are mine)
Stovepipes = A Junkyard
Indies = A Tomb, A Lash (last is mine)
Homburgs = A Council, A Mob (I Like Council a lot)
Boaters = A Fleet, A Regatta (I Like both of these)
Campaign Hats = A Melee (creative, I like it)

General plural for hats = A Collection, A Hailing (last is mine)
