We talk so often about hats (plural) as collectors and makers; it struck me a few months back that there should be terms for more than two of a particular type of hat. You've herd (bad pun, but I'm using it and you can't unsee it!) of a covey of quail or a murder of crows or a pride of lions... well, I have taken to calling a group of fedoras a 'massacre' I played around with the term 'riot' for a group of porkpies as well, but other types have so far proven elusive. I ain't too happy with anything I've thought of for homburgs, bowlers, stingies, etc. What do you propose?
