My Supervox Radio

I thought you might like to see my "new" old radio. A friend of mine gave it to me once she knew I wanted one :)

It's a Supervox by McMichael Radio Ltd. It has it's original flex and the instruction book. Written on the back is the date the guarantee card was sent back - 15th May 1950. It's in wonderful working order too.

(Oh and the teddy is 1950's and the old railway lamp is I believe 1930's.)

Pretty darn cool!

Is both AM & FM?
Does it have any set up for an external antenna?
When I lived on Lon Guyland as a kid we had this old Emerson and it picked up some wild the night time AM bounce. Chicago and even down south a ways.

Really cool radio, have fun listening.

It's LW/MW and I don't think it has any external capabilities .. but then it might, but that would mean having to ease it off the rickity bookshelf!
