New Panama hat

I just recieved my new Panama hat and have no idea why it looks so bad. Do you have to get them rehsaped or something. I

What makes it look bad? Maybe you received an unblocked hat. If so, you need to take it to a reputable hatter to have it blocked into the shape you want. Can you post a picture?

Use steam from a pot or tea kettle.

The hat could have gotten smashed in transit. If its a Montecristi it has a memory and should come back out to its block if it was blocked. Then use your fingers to set it.

I'd have to see the hat... some steam and a touch up with an iron works at times...other times...off to Art to help.

Bad Brim

I think that this style of brim was made popular by Otis on the Andy Griffith show! I do not think that it is very flattering and am contemplating a steam job.

Yep, need a reironing. Use towel in between the brim and the iron. You can do it yourself if you'd like, but as offered, if you send it to Art he'll bill me after he reworks it.
