At the end of the day, the buck stops with 'me' on this one. With work/family commitments over the Xmas and New Year period things have slowed down, as you may understand from your own lives too

Throw in this 'flu' bug thing that seems to rearing its ugly head and things are pretty well slowed down right now - sorry.

I am currently working on some threads to allow all of us to move on and progress with our love for the original and repro Irvinesque jackets and narrow things down. Thanks for your patience.

But 'if' you want to 'suggest' some thread titles my way for an original section and repro section, then I'm all ears.

Kilroy, I too am waiting on a WPG Irvin. Mine has made it to NYC and left about an hour ago!! I've watched this thread for months and it was your pics, Spitfire, that pushed me over the edge to order. I hope to post some pics when received. Glad that this topic will stay alive.

Irvin news: ELC has revamped the 1940 pattern jacket with their new "broken finish" sheepskin. Im split on this, most Irvins I have seen have a smooth, pebbly almost goatskin like surface, nothing like the crinkly looking leather on american sheepskins.

Killroy and Jabos - Hope you will get your WPG Irvins soon and you'll enjoy them. I most certainly do. The weather is right for it over here. Slight snow in the air and minus 11 C.

I received the WPG yesterday and it is a beaut. I probably couldn't live much further south and be able to wear it. Did someone say the sheepskin was thinner than that of the Eastman? This is pretty cozy and thick. Does anyone else confess to wearing theirs in the car with the A/C on? I'll post pics in a day or so, unless you get yours first and start a new repro thread Kilroy. Wish I lived at your latitude Spitfire!
