Now the big question: do you tilt or skew yours one way or 'tother?

Yes, sir. Most often, I follow the custom I have ingrained from wearing fedoras: to the right, and maybe a little to the back. Also, if the cap has bulk enough in the crown, I shift it to the same direction, enough for it to be noticeable, but not so much as I would do with a beret.

I must say some people have called my newsboys "berets", anyway.[huh]

I always used a rubber band and a ball to put curves in my brims.

I tried that too, but I have one hat that really resisted curving. It would hold the curve for a little while, but then revert back to its original shape. A little steam worked perfectly. A very little, actually, as I was nervous about getting the cardboard too wet.

I'm lefty, but I tilt hats to the right - my right, that is.

I skew the brims of newsys that way, but brimmed hats stay on the gig line.
