Its been a while since my last ebay hat ad "purge", but I decided to go through again and try to find all the ads that havent been seen yet. I'm SURE there are going to be duplicates of some, but some I have never seen before.

Heres an interesting one. This ad is from Stetson of Canada.

Josh; Thanks for the post. I enjoyed looking at the advertisements. I am struck by how nice the ads look and how thery catch my eye. The drawing catch my eye more than the pics. I suspect that the handcraft work and the illusion the art creates influences me. Not in a romantic notion of the time, but just the notion of imagining the "real hat."

I do enjoy the Stetson V ad very much. What a cool hat. I see the crease much like what I have seen Ale do to his hats. I like the hat and imagine how it would look on my head. Ahhhhh....

Funny you should post the Custom V ad, Eric - that was the one that caught my eye as well.

Strangely, although it is called "Custom" it seems to be less custom than most of the other hats of the time, with its factory made crease.

They do appear on eBay from time to time so you might find one, Eric.

Josh - thanks for posting these Stetson (and the others as well) ads, I always enjoy checking them out!

Oh, the 59, 60 and 61 hats look horrible to me.

Perry; Thanks for bring the down edge some attention. Do you wear one sir? I am curious about the hat. I certainly recongize the guy in the drawing as the guy in the ******* ad (one with showcasing the different styles of hat brim and creases). Indy hat like, in that the back brim has the down edge.

I have not seem many on the forum. Ever very popular?

David, those later Stingies look absolutely horrible to me as well. The crown shapes are hideous and the brims are just too darn short.

I think the downturn brim was fashionable in the late 20's, early 30's. I personally wear mine slightly up in the back, although it might be fun to experiment with the brim down in the back.
