There was one that Marc C. had (he sold it recently) a pale violet Citation. Now that was a lovely looking lid. Did anybody here happen to get that one? I recently got one of his black Dobbs that appears to shimmer a shade of navy blue in the right light. I would love to get one of Arts navy blue numbers, a fine dash of color that one is.

I have a similar one. Mine is mainly tan with just a tinge of peach, which shows up nicely in poor light. It's a neat color departure.

I definitely like that cloud blue hat, and the vintage white Vagabond. I just wonder if any colors besides the usual beige and grey and black would actually look good on me; it's one of those things where you don't know until you try. Does anyone else agree?

Oh, I figured that Feraud. If I owned such a beauty I would make sure I was wearing it in my casket. I only asked to perhaps ease the burden. If you are, let's say, a 6 7/8 then I would feel better. If you are a 7 3/8 though then I wouldn't feel so good. I meant no offense and I didn't mean to pry. I do think that it is one sharp lid though.

I have a light purple Resistol 737, two-inch brim.

The tag inside calls the color "quarry" but it's purple.

Got to get my daughter to show me how to use the digicam so I can add a photo.

Here are some colours that I think look outstanding and are rarely seen in fedoras. From the Nathan Marsak Collection thread come these first two vintage beauties:

I love the jade green and the way the almost violet band sits with the bright blue of the second fedora. Then there's this vintage Wormser, in what I suppose you'd call 'champagne', perhaps a hint of the great peach colour seen in the Baron's renowned Portis?
