Built in Springfield, Missouri in 1929 as a flour and feed store on Route 66, it shortly transformed into the Queen City Oil station. In 1939 that section of Route 66 was raised skyward with the construction of the Glenstone Viaduct. In 1946 they moved six blocks north on Route 66. That building was demolished in the 1970s to make way for a restaurant.
The original pavement of Route 66 it still under the viaduct.
