Original Veronica Lake Dress

I found this link the other day and I thought all of you might enjoy it. It's an original dress for Veronica Lake designed by Edith Head for the film "I Wanted Wings". I wish there were more detail photos but the photos shown are pretty nice. No price--don't know if that means it has sold or it is too dear for us common folk!

Wow, I would love to own a dress like that. I hope someday to have some pieces actress's have worn in my collection.

There's some great vintage site that has a collection of dresses Lucille Ball has worn, and it peeves me so much, because one of them from the 50's is just my size! Unfortunately, it's the $700 price tag that doesn't fit.

A dress like that Veronica Lake one must be expensive, all of the beading is gorgeous.

I've noticed that a lot of websites with high-end merchandise don't have the prices on the sites -- the buyer has to contact them if they're interested. I don't think I really want to know how much that dress is, because I know it would be waaaay out of my price range! I guess I'll just appreciate it from afar

I know a reasonably well-off man who lives by that phrase, but it has gotten him into trouble on occasion. He will not ask the price of something before buying it, which is why he accidentally paid $25K for his mattress.

But I don't need to ask the price of that dress. I know I can't afford it.

Does anyone know the site with the Lucy dresses? I'd love to see them.
