Wild Root, these things are on eBay every week- that one's not a very nice example-
Certain vendors are always dealing in painted/patched A-2s.
If you like this kinda stuff, you should whatch more often!

Really? This is the first A2 from the 392BG: CRUSADERS that I have seen. I don't look for A2's much and I see them once in a wile. But, I don't see many with B-24's on the back. I know the tail marking from photos I have seen in books and such. They were an 8th air force group and that makes it worth the bucks. Every time I see any thing 8th AF it's got a price tag. This one is in good shape for being as old as it is.

Most of the ones I see on ebay are repros that are trying to look old.

Any way, I thought that some of the guys a crossed the pond may like to see it.

Sorry Root, I definitely wasn't trying to rain on your parade.
I didn't specifically mean 8th AAF B-24 painted A-2s, just A-2s with art. I'm always watching for flight jackets as well as vintage.
All the faked ones are obvious- the fakers just don't know the details and specifics and try and bluff their way. Most fakes are just downright hilarious- some of the patches for sale too and "theatre made" items...hahaha...
