Nice pics, thanks! After a few months of wear you will see that the jacket has formed itself to your body and that use and "abuse" will give it a lot of character. Enjoy breaking it in!

Thanks everyone.

I have only been wearing it for 2 days but I can already feel how its
forming to me. This is alot different then the goatskin.
It rained the first time I wore it and I was out playing with my daughter,
when I got in I had it on me while playing on the floor, rolling around
and doing my usual stuff with my daughter. (she jumping on me and so on)
When she got to sleep I sat in the sofa and watched tv while it was drying
still wearing it. Today it felt alot better already. Not so puffy in the back
and the arms start to look nice and I got some creases in the bottom end.

Its a really nice experience. The leather is forming so easy and the
creases are really gonna show how you live and use the jacket.

I dont use a hanger, I just throw it on the floor when I get in.
This is very opposite how I usually treat clothes.
But I babied my Harley and it looks like new after many many years
and my cheap jacket got all the character.
I will eventually get a hanger for it, but in the meantime it sleeps on the floor. :whip:

Great jacket! The only thing that worries me is your crisp white shirt underneath. Has anyone had a problem with color transfer? It seems I just saw pictures of a new Aero with a warning tag about "1920 tanning" (or something) and color transfer.

I have had no problems and have only had white shitrs under the jacket up until now. But the shirts doesnt touch the leather. And I have only kinda cheap shirts so its no stress :p

I had black dye come out of a cheap cowhide jacket years ago at a very hot, sweaty gig in the Student Union building back in Belfast, must have been around 1996.... washed out of the t-shirt completely with a normal wash. Same thing for the two minor spots I got on a shirt from my new cordovan Bootlegger on the first occasion on which I wore it. Nothing since. I wouldn't worry overly about it.

Awww... very cute picture! How old is your daughter, Griff?

Beautiful jacket and it fits you so much better than your previous jacket you returned. Do you find that the steerhide was more stiff than the FQHH jacket you have now?

Thank you Navin.
Her name is Leah and she will be 2 years in July. :eusa_clap

Yes the steerhide was alot thicker and stiffer.
The horsehide is soft and easy to wear in comparison.

Congratulations on your daughter's soon-to-be 2nd birthday! :eusa_clap

I will tell you now... for a man there is NOTHING greater in this world than being a husband and a father. The bond between father and daughter is such an amazing one. :)

Beautiful jacket again, my friend. I'm so happy for you. :)

Hi Griff,

congratulations! That is definitely one of the best fitting and nicest looking HWYMans I have seen around here. Can't believe you think it's a tad too big though!

As somebody said before, I too mostly reach for my Highwayman (and mine is a lot more roomy), because it's the most versatile style.

With some years of wear, it's now such a central part of my wardrobe, I could never imagine not having it.

wear it in good health and look after it for the next generation!

Thanks. I am very happy about it except that the arms look very different.
One is smooth and the other is wrincled. Its the first thing I notice when looking at it.

The size feels a little big, and look at my upper chest, you can see the the jacket is creasing on both sides in a diagonal way.
I know you have to get this to a certain degree but its abit much.
It gets better when the jacket is closed tho.

Neither is a biggie, the overall look of the jacket is georgeous and they used
the premium hide where it counts like in the upper back.
I love it!
It just got too hot to wear right now, but I got to wear it for a few days atleast. :D
