Panama Hat. Leather or cloth sweatband.

I wonder wat the consensus is (if there is any) on using these absorbing pads, here shown on a cap but they can be used on hats too

I have bought yet a new Panama and als this with a cloth sweatband.

The only hats that seem to have any leather sweatband are rather expensive ones.

While felt hats MOSTLY ( I see this less and less the last few years) have leather sweatbands.
