I don't know much about the Pilgrim company other than they advertised a lot in magazines. I can, however, tell you that they made some nice felts. I have a nice Pilgrim (Strat style) fur felt in my vintage selection (although a small size) and the felt compares very nicely to a Strat in the other hand.

The Higbee Company was a department store in Cleveland Ohio that was bought out by Dilliard's in, (I think) the 80's.
