There are some beautiful vintage pocket watches on display here. I’d like to get a pocket watch, but have been leaning towards getting a new one (for now). Any opinions about the Tissot Savonette 49.4? I’m leaning towards the mechanical version with Arabic numbers. Will attach a photo from their website for illustrative purposes.

I have my grandads Elgin pocket watch that I think is from the 1920s. He worked for the L&N Railroad starting in the 1920s. Does anyone know of a good watch repairman in the Springfield, MO area?
You may want to call first. His lifetime career. When I last used him he was semiretired & only open a couple days per wk. Plays a lot of golf these days.

Model 1857 Home Watch Co. 7 jewel, 18 size keywind pocket watch. Manufactured most likely in the Spring of 1875, by the American Watch Company (later renamed the Waltham American Watch Co.)
Created to compete with Elgins new line of low-cost low-jewel watches, A W Co introduced the Home Watch Co line for the common man. All A W Co badging is notably removed from the dial and movement in order to not be mistaken for their higher end watches.
The fobs are an 1875 seated liberty half-dollar and 1875 seated liberty dime "love token" with the reverse featuring intricately engraved initials, and winding/setting key.
