Question about Stetson *******?

Does a Stetson ******* have a bound edge like the Stratoliner or the Open Road or is it a raw edge brim? TIA

It has a stitched brim edge. Raw edge, but with a single row of stitching around the edge.

This one's an early model, so it's got a different brim width and crown blocking, but the edge is the same as later ones.

Most *******s have a stitched edge detail about 2mm in on a raw brim,

Mine's the '34-37 version, with a narrower brim and taller crown, in airlite (stetson's super lightweight) felt. The 1940 ads have a wide brim, but the stitching stayed the same. In the '60s, there was the ******* II, but that's completely different.

Yeah, MK must have taken the stitches before he sold the hat to me, and I wasn't about to replace them for the Lounger I sold it to.

Yes, He bears watching. I'd think twice before buying a used hat from that character. His blue Dobbs did nicely.
