Question regarding older Aero jacket.

Hi.
I have got a used Aero Highwayman that dont have the normal tag with who made it and so on.

I flipped out the pockets to see for this tag but instead found this ?
Is this from the manufacturing ? if so why is it handwritten like this instead of on a tag?

Hope to hear from you and I'll post further pictures of the jacket later on as it is a beauty. :)

Thanks
//August

Here are further pictures. The leather pull in the main zipper is not original or same color as it is one I added.

Over the years the Blue Aeroplane label has been used for jackets made by trainees and more recently a range of ‘one off’ budget jackets made from hides which may have had a scar, blemish, etc and so couldn’t be used on the full price ones.
I’ve not seen any writing on the pockets of my Aero Leather jackets but the four digit number could be an internal Aero stock number, while the name and number (possible phone ?) might have been written by a previous owner to make sure the jacket could be identified if lost or stolen.

Thanks for a good reply. I get the thing about blue labels and that they were also introduced at some point and so on.
I wonder if it could be a phone number and name aswell, any how it is an interesting little detail that adds to the "uniqueness" of this jacket :)

Do you dare call the number to find out if it is for a phone ?
