Rainbow Country Grizzly question

Hi everyone, hope you're all well and looking forward to a great holiday, if you celebrate.

I've been really interested in grizzly jackets for a long time but lately more than ever. I live in Toronto where the winters are pretty unpleasant, which means I've always had a down-filled parka and layered up.

I'm a definite scaredy cat when it comes to being cold, I just hate it. That said, lately I've been trying to step out in a leather jacket, to mixed results, which got me once again really digging into the idea of a grizzly.

So my questions are:

- Are these types of jackets actually warm?
- And does anyone know how to size them? I ask because I'm across the board a 36, but the numbers I'm seeing from secondhand sellers are all over the place. I've seen 45 - 47 cm shoulder measurements for a 36, which is way larger than anything I'm used to.

I know the secondhand market can be very tricky, but do the larger shoulders and body account for the thicker lining? Is there something going on with this particular fit, or are the sellers just incorrect?

Does anyone by chance have a 36, 38, or 40 Rainbow Country that they can measure? I'm drawn to the look of that manufacturer but am of course open to other options, I've just not really seen any posted from RMC or the other usual suspects.

I appreciate the thoughts, please let me know, it's not getting any warmer over here anytime soon. Thank you all.

Chris

the jelado I'm selling may be your size.

I didn't find it to really fit different than regular leather.

it's warm but not crazy so. you would still probably want a good underlayer in toronto imo.

Thank you @cbez , that Jelado is quite nice. Do you know who manufacturers their jackets? Also, what size is yours? Is it Small? I looked at the Jelado website and that's how they're listed - XS, S, M, L - instead of by numerals.

Looking forward to your thoughts, thank you.

It's an S. Not sure on the manufacturer, I think jelado/colimbo use multiple depending on the model they're doing that season.
